The story of Holiday Inn, follows the character Jim over a years period. There evolves around Jim's romantic love interest in the play. The lovers have an on/off relationship and Jim's lover Linda, temporarily leaves him for another man. Eventually, by the next Christmas, they become reacquainted. The song 'White Christmas' tells a story of that relates to this relationship. The the character singing the song, would like to have Christmas's like the ones they had before. Although the lyrics are indirect, the context of the song relates to the relationship. When the performe ris dreaming of a white christmas, the context of the sotry, is that they are dreaming of a white christmas' they had with the person they love. The song refers to the story of the details of the event. The time when 'the tree tops glistened'. The song is a reminder to the person of those good times. It is aimed at encouraging feelings of remebering the situation, the good times, and rekindling their relationship.
Song Variations
Bing Crosby
The classic. The oringally version that most people are familiar with because it is played every Christmas. Out of all the songs, I am probably most familiar with the song and feel I can perform the required style of the song.
Michael Buble
The Drifters
A pop version of the song. Is more upbeat.
I have choosen to go with the Bing Version. This is because I feel comofrtable singing in this tone. It allows me to play with the words rather than having to use perfect technique or be direct with diction. It is also from a film version of msucial HOliday Inn, rather than being released of song only. The Bing Crosby version is also more emotive and feels more like someone expressing themselves, than a song.

Song progress
Playing with different version of the song and maxing them into one. I prefer the Bing Crosby version, but could go with different styles of the song. Out of all of the songs I have been studying, this is probably the song I am most familiar with.
I have persisted with the Bing Crosby style of the song. I like this interpretation and it is what I think of when I think of White Christmas. I believe I had been able to create a decent interpretation of the song and over time I would be able to perfect it. The only issue with this song has been to find the right energy during the summer period.
Final Version
Out of all the songs, I found this song the least technically challenging. The song is cyclic and has a repitive pattern. This made it easier to pick up. Familiarity of the song also helped. I was able to go into the first effort with more experience. I think I basically pick u the style, but of course I would never be a match for Bing. From the 1st to the final version, there is porably least change or improvement. I would probably try to move more towards a more unique interpration if I performed this song more in future. Out of all the songs, this was the most difficult to find passion for. It's a christmas song and I had little to go off in regards of the emotion of the song.
